Black Americana is its entire own subset of antiques collecting. This Antique Early 1900s Green River Whiskey Molded Plaster Black Americana Advertising Tabletop Display is in Good Condition, with a chip to the plaster at the top of the horse’s saddlebag, several scattered small nicks and pinholes throughout, heavy overall crazing and surface cracking, and with some overall fragility and age wear evident. Most interestingly, it measures 12 1/2” x 9 1/2” x 3 3/4”, boasts a racist caricature of an older, bucktooth African American man in a top hat and overcoat leading his horse, with the saddlebags on his mount carrying a jug of “GREEN RIVER THE WHISKEY WITHOUT REGRETS”, and sports “GREEN RIVER” in silver lettering in relief along the front of the dark grayish green base. It carries its maker, “OLDETYME DISTILLERS INC / NEW YORK, N.Y.”, molded into the top right front of that base, and is a fine example of a very rare, original Antique Early 1900s Green River Whiskey Molded Plaster Black Americana Advertising Tabletop Display.
