This lot features a vintage leather right handed holster manufactured by A. W. Brill of Austin, Texas, a well known maker of holsters and police leather goods during the early and mid twentieth century. Brill holsters were widely supplied to law enforcement agencies and civilian shooters across the United States and are recognized for their durable construction and distinctive stamped maker markings.

The holster is constructed of black leather with decorative floral tooling on the front panel and a wraparound retaining strap. The strap bears the oval maker mark reading "A. W. Brill / Maker / Austin Tex." The holster is configured in a right hand draw style and appears sized to accept many medium frame revolvers with approximately 4" barrels, as well as similarly sized semi automatic pistols.

The leather shows visible handling and age wear including surface scuffs and areas of worn stitching. The interior shows expected use from carry and storage. Despite the wear, the holster remains structurally intact and displays the classic styling associated with early A. W. Brill leather work.
