Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Anschütz Modell Match 54 / Cal. .22 long rifle”. The left side of the receiver is marked “J.G. Anschütz GmbH Ulm/D. West-Germany”. The left of the receiver is marked with the serial number “140640”, proof marks including a West German eagle/N, and “76” indicating the year of proof. Additional markings include “A” and the Anschütz logo.

Barrel Length: 27” Heavy Target Barrel.

Sights / Optics: The rifle is equipped with sight blocks. The front block is mounted with a globe sight. The receiver is dovetailed for Anschütz-style competition sight sets or scope mounts.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a left-handed walnut target stock with an adjustable cheek riser and adjustable hooked buttplate. It features an anatomical thumbhole grip with stippling on the palm swell and foreend. There is an accessory rail on the bottom of the forend. There are handling marks, scuffs, and finish loss scattered throughout, especially on the left side of the butt. The LOP measures 13” to 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the hooked buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 92% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light operational wear on contact surfaces, mild edge thinning, and scattered small marks from handling and use. There is minor finish loss at the bolt handle contact point. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
