This lot features a promotional display set for AMTECH composite cased ammunition, produced by Amtech International, Inc. of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, AMTECH developed polymer composite cartridge cases intended to reduce weight while maintaining reliable ballistic performance. The concept was aimed at both commercial and military applications and was promoted as a next generation ammunition technology for U.S. military and NATO forces.

Included in the lot are two acrylic countertop display stands containing example composite cartridges along with the original promotional backing cards. The displays highlight the benefits of the AMTECH design including reduced weight, corrosion resistance, consistent ballistics, and compatibility with existing firearms meeting SAAMI standards. Also included are two original AMTECH ammunition boxes marked ".38 Special 158 gr. Lead SWC," along with a stack of promotional pamphlets describing the technology and its advantages.

Condition shows light handling and storage wear typical of display materials. The pamphlets remain bundled together with a rubber band and the display boards show minor marks from use. One of the promotional cards has a crack near the top. The acrylic displays remain intact and still hold the demonstration cartridges. AMTECH promotional material is relatively uncommon today and offers an interesting look at an experimental ammunition technology that attempted to modernize cartridge case design.
