Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch sight dovetailed into the slide.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black wrap around rubber panels with Pacmyer medallions. The grips show only minor handling wear and rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: One original Randall left-handed stainless steel magazine and three extra black right-handed magazines, all in Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only minor handling marks. The slide and frame exhibit light operational wear but no significant blemishes. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Randall Model 1911 is a fascinating piece of firearms history, as it was the first production stainless steel 1911 and the only factory-built left-handed 1911. Manufactured in the mid-1980s, Randall pistols were a short-lived but significant addition to the 1911 market, with only around 9,968 pistols ever made before the company ceased production in 1985, and only 297 Left handed models were ever produced.
